Dependants can join only research (PhD and research master's) or government-funded students.

Funds must be held for 28 consecutive days, and the statement must be dated within 31 days of the application.

Step-by-step from Dhaka

Pay the deposit and receive your CAS.

Prepare funds (28 days), TB test and documents.

Apply online, pay the visa fee and Immigration Health Surcharge, then give biometrics at the visa application centre in Bangladesh.

SSC and HSC (or O/A level) certificates and mark sheets; bachelor's certificate and transcript for postgraduate study

English test result (IELTS Academic, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT or Duolingo, as the university accepts) or a medium-of-instruction letter where accepted

Statement of purpose or motivation letter written by you, plus CV

Two recommendation letters where the programme asks for them

Sponsor documents: bank statement and solvency certificate, sponsor's income proof, TIN and tax return acknowledgement

Birth certificate or NID; names and dates must match the passport and certificates
